10.3 oz Black Denim Fabric | 100% Cotton | Twill Weave Fabric Per Metre
This black denim in twill weave combines medium weight with a pleasantly voluminous feel. Thanks to the slightly looser weave, it is slightly elastic in the weft direction. This denim fabric is ideal for leisure jeans, classic black chinos, trousers or skirts with body and structure. The robust twill weave also makes it a versatile classic for professional workwear in hospitality, the trades and security services.
Piece-dyed yarns: Both weft and warp yarns are fully dyed throughout, ensuring a uniform, deep colour across the entire fabric surface – no fading or colour loss through abrasion. With sanforisation, the fabric is substantially shrink-resistant after the first wash – a major advantage for garments that are worn immediately after sewing. The opaque, firm structure offers optimal wearing properties for everyday use.

My Most Important Expert Tips for Gentle Care
- Always wash denim before use or cutting so that it shrinks to its final size.
- Select a short delicates cycle or the wool programme at a maximum of 30° C.
- Use a laundry detergent without optical brighteners.
- Spin at a maximum of 400 rpm or not at all to prevent washing streaks.

Manufacturer's Care Labelling
The manufacturer specifies washability up to 60° C on a normal cycle. For the most colour‑preserving care, however, I recommend a maximum of 30° C on a gentle or easy‑care cycle.
