Vlieseline is a brand with tradition and of quality that has been enriching the world of sewing for over 70 years. Discover the interfacings and strips from the manufacturer Freudenberg and let your creativity run wild!
If you love to sew, you know how important it is to use the right fabric linings and ribbons. Products from Vlieseline are the perfect helpers for all seamstresses because you can rely on the high-quality products from Freudenberg.
They are versatile and essential when processing textiles. They add stability to fabrics and give shape and support so that your sewing projects look perfect. Depending on the material or type of fabric, you decide whether you want to use interfacings e.g. for large-area reinforcement of fabrics or if you want to secure edges and hems with the tapes.
Vlieseline products are washable and easy to care for. They guarantee a long service life for your self-sewn garments, accessories and decorative items.
The fusible interlinings can be used to fix large areas of fabrics, from light to heavy. They also ensure more stability and shape when processing small parts with precision such as pockets or collars.
The strips allow you to process edges, folds and hems more easily and beautifully. The edge fix also has a punching line, which can either be used as an exact seam guide or ensures a clean fold when folding the fabric.
You can choose from different materials, thicknesses and colours to find the right solution for your project. In my shop I only offer interfacings and strips for ironing.
All interfacings and tapes are available by the meter, which you can order in units of 0.5 meters in length. Several items purchased will of course be delivered in one piece!
Regardless of whether you sew clothing, bags, pillows or other accessories, Vlieseline offers you a wide range of fabric interfacings and tapes for every application. The processing is very simple:
All Vlieseline items offered here are applied to the left side of the fabric with an iron with the coated side of the interlining facing down. It is important to pay attention to the grain of the fabric and, in particular, to cover fabric interlinings with a damp cloth.
My tip: I use baking paper instead of a damp cloth. With a damp cloth, waves have sometimes formed and baking paper is easier to use.
Fixing time varies at each product, but typically 8 seconds for tapes and 12-15 seconds for interfacings are sufficient to achieve good adhesion. Specific information can be found in the respective product description. After fixing, you should let the parts cool down lying flat so that the adhesion can stabilise.
