The reliable all-rounder in classic navy blue
This denim thread in navy blue is the ideal all-purpose thread for classic blue denim – from raw denim to washed denim fabric. The colour blends tonally into the seam for a clean, understated result when the seam isn't meant to stand out. Equally suited to canvas, twill and other robust fabrics in blue tones.
As a core-spun thread with a stable filament core made from branded polyester, TRIGAN 80 is finer than the bold No. 30, yet noticeably stronger than standard all-purpose thread in size 100 or 120. The thread runs smoothly, is colourfast and durable – perfect for domestic machines and industrial use.
The precise cross-winding ensures smooth running and clean, even stitches.

TRIGAN No. 80 can be used without any issues on any domestic sewing machine.
- Needle: The manufacturer recommends needle size 80 or 90.
- Ironing: Iron the finished seams at moderate heat at most (setting 2), as polyester is more heat-sensitive than cotton.
