The versatile accent in calm, medium grey
This denim thread in stone grey is particularly versatile: on grey, charcoal or black denim it blends in tonally for a calm, clean finish. On classic blue denim, by contrast, it sets a subtle, cool contrast – the colour recalls the even tone of natural stone and never looks pale or dull. Ideal for decorative stitching, repairs and details that call for a restrained but premium look.
As a robust core-spun thread with a stable filament core made from branded polyester, TRIGAN combines the matte, textile look of a cotton thread with the high tensile strength of polyester. The thread runs smoothly, is colourfast and durable – perfect for domestic machines and industrial use.
The precise cross-winding ensures smooth running and clean, even stitches.

To make sure the robust TRIGAN No. 30 denim thread runs smoothly on your machine and delivers a perfect stitch pattern, I recommend the following settings:
- Bobbin thread tip: On a domestic machine, you may want to use Trigan 30 as the top thread only. For the bobbin thread, use a finer thread in size 80 or 100 so the bobbin case doesn't jam.
- Needle: Use heavy-duty needles. The manufacturer recommends needle size 110 to 120. From my own experience, though, the thread also runs cleanly with a size 100 needle.
- Ironing: Iron the finished seams at moderate heat at most (setting 2), as polyester is more heat-sensitive than cotton.
