Heavy Selvedge Organic Denim (15 oz): A DRY DENIM with the Classic Red and White Selvedge Edges

This heavy Selvedge denim in a rich indigo blue is a true highlight for enthusiasts of high-quality and sustainable denim fabrics. With a weight of 15 ounces (oz) per square yard, or approximately 510 g/m², it provides a robust and durable foundation for your creative projects.

This very heavy organic denim is a dry denim. With its firm handle, it is ideal for long-lasting jeans, jackets, and bags. This denim is non-stretch and, thanks to its firm and robust structure, is particularly hard-wearing.

This deep blue denim fabric is made from pure organic cotton, grown according to strict ecological standards, and has been produced according to GOTS criteria. However, the fabric does not carry a final certificate as my shop, being the last operation in the supply chain, is not GOTS certified.

Selvedge Edge

• The characteristic Selvedge edge is a sign of the highest quality and traditional weaving. It features a red stripe on a white background and is located on both sides of the fabric width.
• It prevents fraying of the fabric and gives your garments a sophisticated look. Therefore, it is often used visibly, for example, by turned-up trouser hems.

Raw Denim for Individual Patina

• The denim fabric is not pre-washed and is therefore a RAW denim.
• The denim is dyed in a deep, classic indigo blue that develops a beautiful patina over time. This type of dyeing is very traditional and gives the denim a very high-quality look.
• The denim is in its natural state and allows for individual washes and effects. Each garment develops an individual wear pattern over time! The fabric also becomes softer and lighter with each wash.
