What makes high‑quality denim?

Genuine denim is a particularly robust fabric woven in a twill structure. The indigo‑dyed warp thread and the lighter weft thread create the typical colour contrast that becomes lighter over time. This weaving and dyeing technique is responsible for the characteristic patina that so many people love about denim.

I advise against synthetic imitations or fabrics with a high polyester content – they are less breathable, less durable and do not feel like real denim. In my shop, you will find only high‑quality fabrics that I also use for my own jeans label, MOORE DENIM.

Practical ordering units

To ensure you can order exactly the amount you need, all denim fabrics are available in 0.5‑metre units. Wherever stock allows, the fabric is always cut in one continuous piece. Fabric width and weight are listed in each product description.

Important sewing notes

• Denim fabrics usually shrink slightly during the first wash – please pre‑wash.
• For thicker fabrics, a jeans needle (size 100–110) is recommended.
• Strong sewing thread ensures durable seams.
