Untreated raw denims made from pure cotton

Welcome to the purist world of my Raw Denims – for all who seek the original denim experience and wish to shape a garment that tells their personal story. All Raw Denims in my collection are made from pure cotton and are of heavyweight quality. They are untreated and unwashed, coming directly from the loom, which gives them a special stiffness and a deep, rich colour.

These heavyweight cotton denims are the perfect canvas for a unique patina. With every wear, they adapt to your body shape, developing individual creases and abrasions that fade to lighter areas over time – a process known as 'fading'. The result is a pair of jeans or a jacket as unique as you are, possessing unparalleled character. I have selected these qualities to offer you the essence of denim: robustness, authenticity, and the joy of a fabric that lives with you.

The initial stiffness of my Raw Denims gives way over time to a pleasant softness and a wearing comfort that is second to none. They are the ideal choice for durable jeans, robust workwear jackets, or simply for anyone who wants to write a piece of denim history themselves.

For processing these robust fabrics, I strongly recommend using a strong denim needle (size 100 - 110) and a durable sewing thread.

Please note that Raw Denims may shrink during the first wash (after a longer period of wear); this is an intended effect that leads to a perfect fit. If you wish to prevent this shrinkage, you can, of course, gently pre-wash a Raw Denim – I do this myself, too. For this, please refer to my washing tips for denim.
